Huge Overwatch update adds Hero Pools, banning characters every week - popeelbectern96

Overwatch fans have been wanting a faster billowing meta for a while, and now developer Snowstorm may just have answered those prayers. The company has announced some big changes coming to the team hired gun in the "early February" 1.45 spot, starting with Hero Pools.

From the start of the future Season 21, some Heroes will be unfit from capitalist play for a week at a time. The goal of this system, Snowstorm says, is to "allow the meta to vary weekly and see more hero variety in matches". The company states the Hero rotation will be decided by the design team, not an algorithm or aside random picks, and that it wish be seen in capitalistic play solely, non arcade or quick fun. This means it will as wel touch on the Overwatch League, merely Blizzard hasn't yet explained on the nose how.

The growth team up continues: "Depending on how it performs, [Hero Pools] may non persist past that flavor. We are also expiration to keep a finish eye along this system to attend if the grinder pool rotation cadency should be changed (e.g. weekly, daily, away match)."

More broadly speaking, Snowstorm says it is "looking to implement more frequent and impactful balance updates with the intent to deliberately change the meta". As part of this, a new main card is being added to the Play screen called the Experimental Card. This appears to be a take form of midpoint between the live game and the secret plan's testing server, the PTR. The Experimental Add-in is a place for players to test out provisional balance changes – nerfs, buffs, and like – while still progressing and earning loot boxes.

"Unlike the PTR, the Experimental Card is not for bug testing," Rash says. "Instead, IT will glucinium used to experiment with balance updates, game modes, or changes to rules that we are investigation internally. While about of these features will achieve current, the content within this gage mode is non secured to follow released."

Finally, the update will include roughly "quality of life" tweaks and built anti-darnel measures, though these are yet to be detailed.
